Installation Idea's & Research

Whilst researching installation ideas that i would have pursued having had more time i came across The Ralph Lauren 4D projection. I was taken back by this, Its a true digital innovation. Shown on november 10th 2010 on The two Flagship Store  London 1 New Bond street and 888 Madison Avenue New york, They became real life canvases.
The projection Technique is called Digital Projection Mapping, and made both flagship buildings seem to suddenly disappear, then reappear, block-by-block, before they each opened up like dollhouses to unleash a 3D spectacle parades of gigantic models, and larger than life products. The air was even filled with Ralph Lauren's Big Pony Fragrance- Giving what the brand called a 4D twist ;)
Even if it did set the brand back at a six figure sum, and took 150 experts months to create, its got to be worth it yeah? Revolutionary.
It would be amazing for Sarah and I do create something on this scale for our FMP, for the audience to really feel involved...
However I'm sure you sympathise that as a student... Its a touch out of the budget.

Maybe one day though...
